What is Community Fridge Canada’s role in local community fridges?

Community Fridge Canada does not run individual fridges. Instead, we support grassroots groups and local organizers by sharing resources, guidance, and infrastructure to help community fridges start up and operate sustainably. Each fridge remains community-led and locally managed.

Do you provide funding or run donation programs for fridges?

At this stage, Community Fridge Canada focuses on capacity-building rather than direct funding. This includes toolkits, training, mentorship, and help connecting groups with partners or resources. Funding programs, grants, or donation initiatives may be explored as the organization grows.
